The West Africa Pre-Salt Forum focuses on the opportunities for offshore pre-salt exploration in countries including Namibia, Angola, Gabon, Congo and examines why IOCs and NOCs are lining up to access these high impact exploration prospects.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, Namibia, the forum brings together senior-level exploration, new venture, business development, pre-salt and subsalt specialists for the key topics in the form of case studies that provide the latest on the region’s potential for substantial oil discoveries, including: Challenges and case studies in sub-salt imaging: Perspectives from BP on situations in Angola and the Gulf of Mexico, sharing and comparing results using RTM imaging in-house led by Jay Thorseth, Vice President Exploration and Appraisal, BP Angola Can we Predict Huge Discoveries of Oil and Gas in Pre-salt Sequences of Angola, Namibia, Gabon and Congo given the Geological Similarities with Brazil's Pre-Salt?
