Premcor Inc., through its principal operating subsidiaries, The Premcor Refining Group Inc. and the Port Arthur Coker Company L.P., is one of the largest independent refiners of petroleum products in the United States. Premcor is headquartered in Old Greenwich, Connecticut and employs approximately 1,800 people. The Premcor Refining Group operates refineries in Port Arthur, Texas and Lima, Ohio with a combined crude oil throughput capacity of 420,000 barrels per day. We also currently own and operate a 70,000 barrel per day refinery in Hartford, Illinois, but recently announced plans to discontinue operations there in October 2002. Premcor markets high-quality gasoline, diesel fuel, and other petroleum products on a wholesale unbranded basis and in the spot market. Premcor had over $6 billion in sales in 2001.
